Chief Financial Officer

Mr Alex Jose is a qualified Chartered Accountant with 42 years of experience in Finance, Accounts and Audit areas and has been functioning as the Chief Financial Officer of Kunnel Engineers since June 2012.

​

He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Life member of the Administrative Staff College of India. His former companies include FACT and Coal India. He was instrumental in obtaining CRISIL rating and also implementation of ISO certification of FACT.  He has also served abroad for more than 20 years in Senior Management positions in the Manufacturing and Oil Sector in Middle East Countries.

Senior Vice President (Contracts)

​

Mr SRC Nayar has 52 years experience in the field of Civil Engineering and is also a Post Graduate in Business Management. He is a doyen of Advanced Construction Management and Contract Administration in the State of Kerala.  He is a consultant on civil engineering, mentor, teacher, contract law expert, author, arbitrator all rolled in to one.

He has been heading the Contracts Division in Kunnel Engineers from 2002. He was a faculty member in the Cochin University of Science and Technology and has authored two books including a now famous book on Law of Contracts which is in to its 6th Edition and is a prescribed book in Technical Universities. He has been on many technical Arbitration Panels in Construction Contract related disputes and has been called up as an Expert Commissioner by the consumer courts and the Central Vigilance Commissioner, on technical matters.  Mr SRC Nayar, retired as Chief Engineer from the prestigious Design and Engineering Organisation FEDO after an illustrious career spanning 36 years. The jewel in the crown is an award for excellence in Project management from the International Federation of Asian and Western Pacific Contractors’ Association (IFWPCA) a few years ago.

He is presently settled at Kochi with his wife and one of his sons is a Chief Manager in Geojit Finance and the other a Captain in the Merchant Navy.

Vice President (Technical)

Cdr Jacob is a post graduate engineer from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi with Project Management experience spanning over 35 years. He has dual qualifications in Civil Engineering and Naval Architecture. He also holds a Post Graduate degree in Defense and Strategic Studies and a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management. He has been managing the Projects of Kunnel Engineers from the year 2014 and is part of the experienced management team of the Company.

He was a Commissioned Officer in the Indian Navy for over 30 years and has worked in all three Naval Dockyards, Mazgaon Docks Ltd and in all three Command Headquarters of the Indian Navy in managerial appointments. He is the recipient of a Chief of Naval Staff Commendation in 2003 for innovative work. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India) and the Institute of Naval Architects. He is an alumnus of the Tri Services Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, which trains Tri service officers from over 40 different nationalities.

In his younger days he was an avid sportsman, athlete, and has captained the Kerala State Team in Basketball and Handball.  He has also captained his University team, as well as IIT Delhi. He was awarded the Vivek Sharma Memorial Gold Medal for being chosen the Best Outgoing Sportsman of IIT Delhi.

He is active socially and is a Rotarian and a Freemason.  He was instrumental in coordinating the Interact Club at Navy Public school and conducting the international Film Festival SCRIPT for his parent Rotary Club. He lives in Kochi with his wife who is a practicing Clinical Psychologist (University of Akron, USA). His elder daughter works with Proctor & Gamble in Singapore and son is graduating in Engineering.

Senior Vice President (Green Park)

Daniel Thomas is a hard core Civil Engineer who has worked for over 37 years in the Civil construction/ execution field. He heads the Coimbatore operations of Kunnel Engineers. The Coimbatore Projects of Kunnel Engineers consists of the prestigious Bluemont Township of Puravankara Projects (in the last stages) and the Green Park township which is a project of Provident Housing.

He was a project head with Chettinad Builders and is based in Coimbatore. He has many prestigious projects to his credit including the factory building of German major KSB pumps which was completed in a record time of 09 months. He is decisive leader and loves challenges.

He is resident at Coimbatore with his wife Dr Raymla, who is a Professor in the field of Entrepreneurship. His elder daughter is an Asst Professor in Mumbai and his son is a management professional at Bangalore.
